We could all do with our own lights.

So here’s a little Ladybird book from the 1970’s warning us about the dangers of pollution. Now I know that people think that the whole global warming thing is just a conspiracy to stop you using your car, but I think even if it isn’t true (but it is) there’s no harm in trying to no use so much. That not putting toxic chemicals into waterways is not such a bad thing or an inconvenience. That maybe walking when you can, may do you and the planet good.

And make your teeth ache.

for the interesting times ahead.
before this Sunday, as I’ll be down at the MCA Zine Fair, selling my dodgy art and writings.

Desert boots out? How can this be?

Years ago when there was high unemployment and you’d go and sign up to go on the dole, and you’d just left art school or finished your masters in gender studies, they kind of knew that you weren’t likely to get any type of work. So the staff at the job centre would put you down as a Lion Tamer, so there was no chance of you getting sent off to a job interview. It was a good system as it wasted nobody’s time. Now it’s all changed and they send you off to anything, just to keep everyone busy.
Wasting everyone’s time.
I miss the old days.
